Changing rights of acess to my property

My neighbour has access through my back garden close to the house. I have a100ft garden.

Is it possible to move the access point to the end of the garden and create a pathway around the edge garden boundary?

If yes What is the cost of a solicitor and new plans?
Do I need agreement /permission from the neighbour?

Actually, I would have thought this would be difficult. I'm only basing this on the fact that 'celebrities' have to cite security concerns to try and get rights of way moved on their land.

changing the path of a 'public' right of way is indeed difficult, but I understand this to be a private way which will not need an order making under the Highways Act.

As your neigbour has the right you will first need to get them to agree.

If they agree I would expect them to expect you to pick up pay their solictiors costs.
