How do i dispose of my telly

Had to buy a new one, and my old telly needs disposing its a shame cos itn looks quite new, i was going to get it fixed but i thought it would cost me to much, havent any transport to take to be recycled it seems a shame just to dump it what i can do!

You could try putting it on Freecycle, somebody may want it and they would come and collect.
Shame you have already bought a new one because I believe shops now have to take in the old ones.
Sorry, I mean when they deliver the new ones they have to take the old ones. Same with all white goods now.

lottie mine was bought online,i think if i went to debenhams they would have taken back but new one was delivered by a courier
I gave mine away to the local Charity Furniture organisation. They sell it on for a few pence to those on benefits.
Better then chucking in a skip.
Forcing the retailer to take it back is a dim-witted EU idea. Retailers have no use for them, but have to deal with the problem and the customer will inevitably pick up the bill through reduced margins somewhere along the line. Oh, and it still ends up in a skip.

b ecame a member of freecycle and i think i have posted the telly but have wait and get it vetted, be of a pain probably done it wrong knowing me
