i have a water feature which mimics a hand pump well and water flows from the tap into a resevoir.

it is very noisy and i would like to know if anyone vcan suggest how i could soften the noise

If the water does not fall so far it will make less noise. If it lands on something soft it will make less noise.
You could lower the tap or raise the reservoir, attach a chain for the water to flow down or break the fall of the water with something for it to land on... not sure what yet, might have to sleep on it!
