radiators in bathroom turning on with water heat up
5 Answers
We have gas ch and water I time the hot water to heat up for just 30 mins in the morning but the radiators come on as well in the the bathrooms, they have no thermostats and no odvious way to turn them off, it is too hot in there with them on esp with summer coming.
Being a complete dumb ass can some explain how to possibly fix this in laymans terms.

Thanks for your answer mdoo98
Yes but there are other rads in the house that are constant too that i am happy to keep on too allow the flow isnt it possible to turn 2 of these bathroom ones off?
There are 4 rads on constant 3 bathroom and one utility room one (all on ground floor), surely u just need only one or one on each floor?

It is obvious from the author's question that it is not a combi or they would not have included the part about switching the hot water on for 30 mins a day. As for at least one rad has to be open is only relavent to realy old installations that do not incorporate a by-pass and is not practised in modern plumbing installations. The reason the bathroom rad heats up when only in hot water mode is because it was designed to do so. This is a very common practise used in the past to ensure that a warm bathroom is acheived all the time and simply fitting a thermostatic radiator valve and a presure differential valve to the system to bypass the offending rad is all that is required to solve the problem.
