british gas - essentials tariff

if you are on british gas essentials tariff and are on an electric prepayment meter have you checked to see if you are being charged correctl;y... i'm not , and according to british gas ther is a problem getting the message to the meter. energy watch say they haven't had complaints from consumers abt this so please check. prices shud have changed on march 1st.

aga- is it really good to cook on one?

How do I know if I'm being charged right or not? I'm on pre-payment and haven't got a clue :-)

you should have been sent a booklet "pay as you go energy gas and electricity prices" effective from 18th january. find the right tariff for your area in that and then ck your meter to see what price per kwh is showing . as far as i am aware this problem is only affecting customers on british gas " essentials" tariff which is available for people on certain benefits, or who need help with meeting heating costs etc .
