How do I remove hair dye from clothing?

I have just got back from the hairdressers and noticed a red / brown patch on the back of my blouse. I can only conclude that this is hair dye that the hairdresser have spilt on the chair when dyeing the previous customer's hair. (not mine - I have never had it dyed in my life!) Does anyone out there have any idea how I might remove this dye? The blouse is 98 percent cotton, 2 percent lyocell (whatever that is).

dont know how to get it out but it happened to me once and i went back to the hairdressers and told them and they gave me the cost of the jumper! so you could always try that, phone them and tell them
I have never managed to get hair dye out of anything. you are well within your rights to go back to shop and ask them to foot the bill to replace the top! The shop owner needs to realise that staff arent cleaning properly, I'm sure the owner would be grateful as it could be bad for business!

I am a hairdresser, and sorry to say that if the dye was permanant then it's gonna stay put on your blouse I'm afraid, it isn't shiftable. If the dye was a temporary dye then theres hope that it may fade in washing or with careful dye/stain reducing washing products.
But.... As a hairdresser i would say ; Go back to salon, they owe you a blouse love!
