Yesterday I had a fine crop of button mushrooms growing in their box in the shed, but when I've gone in there today every single mushroom has vanished! I know for certain it's not a human thief, so what could have taken them?

Mice almost certainly. Have you got any tiny cracks where they could be coming in and out? You'll know for sure if you put down a saucer of dry oats tonight and you find they've all disappeared in the morning. Or perhaps you'll find a little note asking if they can have some bacon with their mushrooms for breakfast next time !

Lol whoever.....I'll leave them a menu!

Mice did cross my mind but they must be super clever as the lid was still on the box and there are no holes in the (polystyrene) box. Cunning little blighters!
I smell a rat
lol its either a mouse or a junkie. My youngest boy is growing mushrooms and he has had a really nice crop of them in his box they just keep on coming up
I bet it`s `MIGHTY MOUSE`.
