does anyone know how to remove chewing gum from carpet has been there a few months we think?

Put some ice cubes in a plastic bag and place it on the gum. When it gets really hard you should be able to carefully pick it off. Keep doing this until its removed. Good luck
Use the ice cubes and if you have an old fashioned razor blade or a really good flexible knife cut the bulk of the gum off the carpet and then put ice on again and work at the residue.
Nail varnish Remover, but try it on the carpet under the furniture first to test for colour fastness.
my daughter in law managed to sit in gum and get it all over her trousers and car seat we used white spirit .it removed it all best to test somewhere it cant be seen first in case it takes the colour out
