Do you like this splashback?

Now, do you think I should go for the pink splashback or not?

I do like it, but I'm concerened I may eliminate potential buyers when I come to sell (not for a few years).

That's on my mind too, it could potentially be a pricey experiment.

I think like Ethel, that you would get bored with it and yes potential purchasers would def be put off!! Sorry but that my estate agent opinion.

How about glass tiles or just sheet glass splashbacks - would look lovely with those units too.

I'm hoping you're talking about the splashback and not the kitchen in general.....

The kitchen in general is very sleek , I would be wary of such a dark dominant splashback though , but , bear in mind too that it can be changed when the style wears off .
Another concern would be light onto the work surfaces may be restricted . :-)

The kitchen is lovely, the splashback is lovely and bold but would put off male purchasers in the future I would think.

Well, you guys are just confirming what I thought deep down. I do really like it but it's not very practical. I think I might consider going for tiles or that laminate sheets the same colour as the floor tiles, which will be similar to what's shown in the pic.

Well, I just had the kitchen planner round (standing for 2 hours gives you a sore back BTW) and it turns out that the glass backing is not practical (for me) because you cannot have any sockets.

So, that's that and now I just need to think of what to put up instead.

Weird, I walked past a kitchen shop today that had a whole unit set up in that colour. It must be the "in" shade. In the 70's lots of folks thought avocado was a good colour for a bathroom set. Landfill is full of avocado stuff. I think the colour is dead cool, but if you are going to sell you might want to check if you can tile over it later!!

Hi bimbo, choosing a kitchen was really difficult. Wooden ones were out of the question, I do like them but a wooden one just wasn't going to tie in with the rest of my house.

White/black/red high gloss, which seems to be all the rage to the moment, isn't really my style and likely to be 'out of fashion' before I sell up.

Thankfully I eventually spotted the one in the link and I love it. I've decided to not go with the pink though.

oooo, now that is an absolutely gorgeous kitchen, but I think the pink is a little too much..

I personally would love to see how that looked with a black splash back, it would need to be in a fairly bright airy room otherwise it could look too dark, but think black could set that off really well and look very stylish.

It is is it! We stood in my kitchen and worked out everything I'd need, she plugged it all in her puter and I got to see what it would look like - like a photograph!

It's beautiful! I'm so pleased!

Now, the work surface in that pic, which I intended to get, is costing �550 per meter and I need 4 meters!!!

Sod that for a game of cards, no way am I paying �2k for work surfaces, so I chose another one and it's mahogany wood, which means the black splashback wouldn't work....

Bear in mind that this splashback cannot be trimmed by anyone other than a professional and it cannot be cut to shape around sockets. These points alone would make my decision for me....

They certainly did for me, str, as soon as she said I can't have sockets if I had that splashback, the decision was made LOL
