Whenever the weather gets warmer, small brown bugs appear in my bathroom. They are only approx 3mm long, have wings but don't fly and only seem to live for a few days. they seem to breed really quickly. As soon as I clear them away, more are reappearing. My house is old and needs renovating, the bathroom is quite damp. They appear to like the toilet area and the sink. Does anyone know what they are and how I can get rid of them permanently. They are definately not silver fish.

Not sure but could they possibly be german cockroaches ? They like wet, damp areas especially bathrooms/
jcd19 try googling German cockroaches -I just did and there's lots of information on them .Good luck getting rid of them!
Are they marching around doing the `Goosestep`? If so, they are huns.
They sound like they are furniture beetles, they come out this time of year and look for a mate then lay fresh eggs in the soft damp wood floor around toilets and sinks then die. the eggs hatch into larve wich is what we call woodworm and they spend the next 12 month eating you're floor boards etc.. untill they become an adult beetle and come out again....and the cycle begins all over again...
