I've just bought a new iron (as my old one died on the job) and got through 7 work shirts in 40 minutes, which I thought was rather impressive.
I wish 'd bought one of those ones with the big continuous steam tank to see how much quicker it'd be.
For the truly curious it's Philips GC 4220 Steam Iron, �30 odd.

Just under 6 minutes a shirt is very slow.

i have a steam one with a tank mine cost 200 pound it is very good ..do all the ironing in half the time
