Sounds odd? The floor mat in the back of my van ( which is plasticy rubber...the mat, not the van!) has been polished by the valeters. Now everything slides all over the place. Any ideas how to 'unpolish' it without out scratching or damaging the surface.

I would just dunk it in some hot soapy water (washing up liquid) then give it a little scrub with a brush and rinse the soap off. Let it dry and hopefully the polish from the valet has been removed.

Unfortunately I can't take it out of the back of the van as its fixed in. Just have to get in the back of the van and do it. I wasn't sure if just washing it would do the trick.
Ahhh.... ok,, the fixed in variety of mat... yep.... just have a go at giving it a bit of an insitu scrub, then a rinse off and a final dry off.... got to be better than a fixed slidy surface !
