I am currently with Scottish Power for my GAS and ELECTRIC but due to my recent inflation with my direct debit, from 40 to 130 per month, Im looking to change over.

Anyone had any good dealings with any other company, etc. I currently use more gas than electric - how this is I do not know as everything in the house is electric and I rarely use the heating!

Thanks for any advice

I have been with Scottish Power for about 4/5 years for both gas and electric.
I did a switch to Southern Electric about 2 months ago and when Scottish Power were informed, they gave me a special rate to match Southern Electric, and capped till August 2009, so I will see what my bills are like in the next few months and see if they are as cheap or cheaper.

It would also help if you have the yearly wattage used when you compare different suppliers on the above sites.

Hope this helps.

Prices also depend where you live with some suppliers..

Thanks everyone --- is it best to go for these FIXED term ones over anything else?
We are with nPower and pay 42 for electric and 40 for gas (we live in a 4 bed, with all mod cons). You get an 80 rebate per year (taken off the electric) if you have both with them. Never had any problems with them and the meters seem to get read regularly.
