Bleeding radiators?
7 Answers
I've noticed in our house that some of the radiators are hotter than others, for example the two in the kitchen only get a little warm whereas others get quite hot. I've tried bleeding them and took out a little water from each but it made no difference to the temperature that they reach. I'm just wondering is there a proper procedure which should be followed that may rectify the problem?

Bleeding radiators is only useful if the top of a rad is cooler than the bottom. i.e. the top is full of air.
You are going to need to balance the radiators. Instructions here.

My rads have a valve tap at bottom that is opened to allow stronger water flow. Feel the feeder pipe to the radiator, if that is hotter than the rad then open the a/m tap. If the feeder pipe is cold then you have pump problems (tap the pump to unstick it).
