I recently had a small leak in my loft and the water seeped through to the Artex ceiling in the bathroom. Does anyone know if there is a product available to cover the discoloured patch prior to painting ? I seem to remember something called 'Stainaway' but am having difficulty in finding it.

Oil-based undercoat will do the job, & is much cheaper than stainblock. Allow it to dry overnight before applying your emulsion.
carrust; can you emulsion over an oil-based undercoat? I've never thought so.
There are emulsions for stained ceilings just ask at the DIY shop.
Cocci. You can emulsion over oil-based undercoat. Before stain-block paint came in about 15yrs ago, that's what we used. BTW, there are no emulsions for stained ceilings. Most stain blocks are either spirit-based, or meths based.
OK carrust: lesson learnt but I emember years ago trying to put a water based emulsion onto oil-based paint was a catastrophe, it just went into little bubbles or slid over it. Over here in France they sell emulsion for stained ceilings hence why I mentioned it.
Jenufa, I'd go into a DIY shop and get their opinion if I were you.... hope everything works out OK
