urine smell under fridge

Earlier in the year I seen a baby rat in the kitchen . A trap was put down and it was caught . Since this happened all holes etc have been filled . It had been hiding behind the fridge underneath the stairs , which has since been plasterboarded up and new vinyl laid . For the past few days I have noticed a urine smell behind the fridge . Poison that has been laid in the kitchen is untouched , still two blocks behind the fridge .
When I lifted the vinyl which had been under the fridge , there was small pools of a urine like substance . It stinks. Now there is now way anything could have got under the vinyl under the fridge . It is fitted from wall to wall . The vinyl was just laid over a concrete floor . Could damp smell like this because the concrete is all damp .
Any help at all would be appreciated .l

I would of thought if the rat was killed earlier in the year then the urine pools would of dried up unless you have more rats or it is water coming from the fridge....

Smell from the fridge can sometimes smells like wee . the gut who came to have a look at mine said that when the water doesnot drain well it smells but depends on how old yo fridge is. i dont think its the rat co dead rats have a heavy smell more powerful than wee. goodluck

I hate to pour doom and gloom on this but you never just get one baby rat they come from a nest... You get one adult out looking for food. but a baby will have brothers and sisters somewhere.. I have poison down and yet my cat still catches live mice..

My cat this week brought us a dead rat in the house for us to look at so I rewarded him with a large fish dinner....
