Central heating timer

I have recently fitted a new timer to my heating.I wired it up according to instructions.The new timer appears to be working , however i cannot turn the water or heating off.I assume i have a wrong wire somewhere, any ideas. thanks Paul

I think you have the live feed to the heater connected to the incoming side of the timer instead of the outgoing side. Without the aid of a drawing, it very difficult to describe the wiring to you. To be honest, you should ask an electrician to check out the wiring.
