Mdf cut to size at Homebase

Can you get mdf cut to a specific size at Homebase to avoid having to buy a full/half board?

Most of these type of DIY stores will cut your wood to size but you still have to pay for the sheet that it was cut from. They would be left with all sorts of offcuts otherwise.
An alternative is to go to a timber yard where you most likely can just have the piece/pieces you want but may still end up paying over the odds for your bits as they also have to take the offcuts and hope thay will sell them.
