pluming from neighbours condensing boiler

My neighbour has recently installed a condensing boiler, the flue of which is approx 12 inches from my boundary garden fence. The plume from the flue blows across my garden, patio and living room windows like a fog. Does this constitute a nuisance environmentally?

Thanks. Didn't know which way to take that! I have sent an email to the environmental officer with photos so I await a reply. I haven't yet confronted my neighbour as I wanted to get all info first. How inconsiderate.

Its water vapour - nothing more, nothing less - so yes you are right, it is fog.
Personally I'd be pleased that my neighbour was also doing his bit to save energy.

I can't believe that someone would complain about a bit of steam drifting across their garden/windows.Do you expect your neighbours to sit in the house (freezing to death) with their boiler off just so you don't have to look at a bit of steam?

Perhaps they might agree to have an extension exhaust fitted to raise it up. If it is fogging your windows, then I can understand your annoyance.

I was going to say there is some good advice in the link about rectifying this problem, and also suggests contacting the environmental health officers if your neighbours don't cooperate.

Nothing unhealthy about water vapour, Lettie.
I seem to recall it happening to me as recently as this morning whilst showering. I haven't keeled over yet.

No, it's not unhealthy, but I just wouldn't like to see it continually blowing past my lounge room window - and it can be avoided quite easily, according to the link I posted, by directing it upwards!

I wouldn't want a foggy view from my lounge window. Enough of that from proper fog.
