Central heating gets to required heat but will not come back on once the temperature drops. Thermostat checked and working fine

If you have a combi boiler it MAY help if you set the central heating temperature to be marginally higher than your hot tap water temperature.  You should have thermostats on the BOILER for that.  This has worked for me in the past because hot tap water usually takes priority over central heating so your boiler may never be quite `cool` enough to turn on the heating system.

I admit to being a total amateur but as I said it has worked for me , so give it a try.......good luck.
