Kitchen Tiles!
8 Answers
I'm in the middle of having a new kitchen fitted but am struggling to choose tiles. The kitchen itself is Ivory, the worktops are dark oak (butchers block) the walls are off white/cream.and all the appliances are silver. I love bright colours but am worried that a bright colour will 'cheapen' the kitchen (if that makes sense!) It looks so lovely at the moment and don't want to ruin it with the tiles (we have to have some because of the condition of the walls although there won't be that many) What I don't want is for the kitchen to look dull and boring though - any suggestions for me?
TIA

I remember seeing in a magazine harlequin tiles in lovely warm colours such as yellow, red, orange, cream; they were put on in a diagonal rather than a square and most impressive and didn't look cheap at all, quite the contrary.
For the moment, I can't find a photo on the net to show you but if I do I'll send it on.

Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I would love to have coloured glass splashback no-knowledge however the cost of this would be huge and therefore impossible (sadly!)
Barb - I'm quite tempted by travertine mosaic tiles which are also matt in finish and fairly neutral so this is a possiblilty
I just can't decide!

The glass splash backs don't seem expensive at all.
