My home is 'all electric' and if there was a prolonged power failure I would freeze, except for a camping stove to boil a kettle and fill a hot water bottle. I'm not keen on portable gas heaters and would like to find a paraffin heater suitable for use in my home. Does anyone know a source of supply please - other than on e-bay which I don't understand and wouldn't want to bid for something second hand. Thanks.

I would agree a calor gas heater would be far safer to have in your house and far safer for the storage/transportation of the fuel.
Also, you can get some nice-lookling oil fired heaters now. Here are just a sample.

but don't you plug in oil filled heating?
