When I flush my WC, the bowl is clear but after a while, the base of the bowl starts filling with nasty brown coloured water/waste. Its not blocked as it always flushes OK but there must be a problem somewhere. I have tried all the usual methods. Can anyone suggest something or do I need dyna-rod?

It does sound as though you have a bung-up further down the line. The waste is filtering away slowly - hence the normal flush - but then I guess it backs up and returns to the pan.
Outside - in the garden - with drain rods - and rubber gloves :o))))))
