rough towels

how can i make my towels soft after washing them, it is advised fabric conditioner is not to be used.

I love rough towels

You can use a wee bit fabric softener in them, I do sometimes. Also tumble drying makes them softer.

If you use fabric conditioner they will feel softer.

The downside is that they will not dry as efficiently.

Yes it was said on here sometime ago.
It also said to tumble dry them.
I decided to have a go as my towels were a bit sand papery and lo and behold it worked.

Try buying more expensive/better quality towels. My old cheap ones are SO rough but my posh ones always come out soft!

You can dry them as normal then tumble dry for 5 to 10 minutes

I know the tumble dryer works, NOTE these are not CHEAP towels , Egyptian cotton I'll have you know bought in Egypt & Costco no cheap crap in this house.L.O.L

do you live in a hard water area? limescale on the towel fibres can make them rough. If this is a problem then water softener tablets in the machine can help but they are expensive
