I have grey, dirty looking stains on my ceramic bathroom sink. The usual cleaning products dont get them off. Any ideas please?

flash have brought out new cleaning blocks. They look like white sponges, and you use them just with water. So far I haven't found a stain they won't remove on a hard surface, they are amazing. QVC also sell them under the brand name "it really works" they are cheaper ther per block but you have to buy 30 at a time

thanks woofgang, I will see if I can find a flash block in my local shops.
If its hard water deposits try vinegar
Vanish Powder (for EXTRA white washing)!  Make sure the hot tap is running really hot.  Put in about 3 scoops, mix with very hot water and leave to stand overnight.  Or even ordinary washing powder overnight.  We have a horribly pitted bath which attracts every bit of scummy dirt and it works brilliantly in that!
lemon juice & bicarbonate of soda will work wonders!
To digress - I used the Flash block on paintwork and it removed a couple of layers of paint.
Try one of those anti limescale products
wow, thewillow, how hard did you rub???
nto an answer but a thread, I have the same problem with my toilet bowl. Having moved in thought the usual stuf would shirt it but NOOOOOOOOOOO.
