Daffodils

We have a lot of daffodils this year with plenty of leaves but no flowers.Does anyone know what causes this and is there a cure. Thanks

Last year, did you let them die away properly or did you cut off the dying green leaves too soon - which makes them come up "blind" the following year.

It could be the age. As daffs develop, the main bulb produces the new generation as bulblets, these may take a season or so to mature into flowering mode. In the meantime "the parent" bulb stops flowering, leaving you with just foliage.
My reading of your query, is that your daffs have flowered previously, therefore precluding too shallow planting or insect damage,and the fact that not all of your daffs have failed would suggest that you didn't remove the foliage prematurely.

Daffs should be allowed to die-back completely before pulling off the dead foliage and never should be tied to make them look tidy. Give a good feed of blood fish and bone meal to help feed the bulbs.

Daffodils sometimes come up blind , if they are in large clumps and have flowered for a number if years.They need spliiting up , re positioning and feeding as you move.

Just seen the last two answers thank you.I might have been a bit hasty when they were dying off.Wanted to get it dug over
