Wicker weevils

I have a wicker basket full of holes which I am told are made by wicker weevils. I put this basket on top of a chair which now has the same holes. How do I get rid of the weevils and is it safe to have the chair on a wooden floor or will the weevils spread?

I recommend you have someone come and identify exactly what is causing these holes.

The freezer is a nice idea - how big is your freezer? you will likely only slow their motabalism down and not kill anything.
