We have been advised to get one of these for a conversion we are doing. It will do the kitchen sink and a toilet wash hand basin. My question is do we go for the 7 or 10 litre version? and do we choose the 1 or 3kw one?
Thanks, Johnny

The 3kW one takes less time to reheat once the water is run dry (again obviously). A typical kettle is rated close to 3kW but only heats maybe 1.5l of water (and you know how long one of those takes to heat up). So a 3kW heater on a 10l capacity boiler is going to take perhaps 10 minutes to reheat (a rough estimate). A 1kW heater on the same boiler is going to take 3x longer - say 30 minutes.
Work out what best suits your needs from there.
Frankly if the purchase price isn't much different, I'd go for 10l and 3kW - the installation price (the major element) is going to be the same
