Treating wood

I have just bought a wooden chopping board and it is untreated. Do I need to treat it and, if so, what should I use please?

Not necessary Kathyan. Agood wooden board should last you a lifetime if it's looked aftr properly. If you oil it theoil will get into your food. just give it a good scrub and let it dry. in days gone by, all the food prep was done on the kitchen table (usually of deal) and was always scrubbed white after use.
