Arcrylic Paint
3 Answers
Hi all,
I am in the process of decorating our new home (still at it ) it has been suggested that I use Arcrylic Paint on my bathroom ceiling.
Can anyone explain why please. What is the difference between Arcrylic and Emulsion.
Thank You.

Here's what I did last year. Three sheets of vinyl board (3mm board with a white plastic vinyl moulded onto it) cut into 2' squares and glued to the ceiling in a diagonal fashion, using those wallboard mouldings for the joints. Looks cool, clean and will suit any decor. Easy to clean and impervious to humidity. About 12 hours work.
There is also a white cupboard lining type board (sorry, don't know the name) that is like an imitation formica and would also be ideal for an ceiling.
About 18 hours work.

CSG I would stick to the tried and tested by the paint manufacturers bathroom paint Blackfriar Fungi-Shield that also dose what it says on the tin is one I used recently .
As for the reasons I suspect that it is more water resistant than emulsion probably akin to acrylic but anti mould as well
hth Tez
