Everybody seems to buy bagless- for the ease of cleaning, but I've heard that the suction is very sensitive and they soon overheat and give up on suction or cut-out?
I have had my bagless one for many years . Recently my OH found a site about taking the cleaner to pieces and cleaning out the cyclones. It took a while and had to dry out for days but is now back to full suction ( I was still pleased with it before he took it to pieces and hadn't noticed drop of power)
well I must admit with my bagless one I can't vac the whole house in one go as it does cut out for about 15 minutes...never thought of this before. However I rarely vac every room at one go but if you do then maybe you are better off with a bagged one...
Some folk might have had their bagless vacuum cleaner for years and years. But those in the trade will tell you that, in general, they won't last nearly as long as a bagged cleaner.
And avoid Dyson at all costs. Some folk are quite happy with them and think they're the bees knees, but this doesn't account for the very large number of people who curse the day they ever bought one. See for yourself...Read Dyson reviews here.
dyson every time. never had any problems, they are a gift from the gods in terms of vacuuming. i would never, ever buy any other brand and they're worth every penny, especially when they're on offer somewhere.
The only reason some people dislike Dysons are because they don`t change the two filters regulary and try to suck up too large pieces of rubbish. With proper maintainace they will go on for years. We`ve had ours since they first came out and is still going strong, and `er in doors` is very, very house proud, so it`s not through lack of use.
Agree with the anti Dysonists.
mine gave nothing but trouble and after spending a fortune getting it repaired and breaking down again, I threw it out.
incidentally, took it to the local recycling depot and was told that the majority of cleaners that were thrown out, were Dysons.
I then bought a Miele cleaner, now that can suck !
there are eight suction settings and number eight will lift rugs, carpet tiles and if I let it,the cat.never seen such power.
