Latest date to lay turf?

Just wondering what is the latest time of the year you can lay turf? I only ask because they are still selling it in our local garden centre.

 

(We've only ever laid it in April to Oct)

I'm having mine done at the moment and my landscaper says it will be fine. He said that unlike laying it in the spring / summer you won't have to keep watering it as muc because it's bound to rain a lot more this time of year.
