solidified washing powder

my wash machine drawn is clogged with congealed wash powder, is there a product or something that will get rid of this problem as i think the lead out pipe is blocked also. many thanks. a. j

The lead out pipe should not be clogged with powder, and I would be very surprised if it were.

I hope you've taken your drawer out, taken it apart and given it a good wash. Also clean out the drawer cavity - a bottle brush is good for this. You need to clean the roof of the cavity too.

Reassemble the drawer, replace and put a cup of white vinegar into the drum. Run it on its hottest cycle and that should get rid of any nasties in your machine.

Thats exactly what I do with my machine Ethel - also I now add some soda crystals to my white washing - it not only gets the washing clean - hopefully it will clear any residue built up in the machine.

sounds like your using too much powder
liquid is a better product use use
as the others say clean out the draw,it does pull out, and run on an empty (hottest) wash
