thanks guys - redcrx: tried the babywipe - nothing. I'll try hairspray, though that sounds a weird solution!

masterchef: I can't stand the smell of methylated spirit - takes me back to the days when I was a skivvy in a hairdressing salon & we had to wipe the mirrors with meths - yuck, horrid memory, horrid smell - but thanks!

aniani: good of Cif eh? I remember the days it was called Jif, which invokes a very strange memory which is not for this sectio, & definitely not for this time in the morning. I shall get some soon, thanks!
