Sealant for slabs

Seeing the post below makes me ask if anyone can tell me the best way, if possible, to seal Patio slabs after they have been pressure washed to help keep the dirt out in future. I remember using some several years ago when I used Santex on the house front, which has worked very well, but can`t remember what it was called. TIA

I believe Travis Perkins sell patio sealant. It is quite expensive though.
