colours running

I bought a red and white England Top in a cheap shop in Glasgow. I washed it by hand in case the red colour ran, but it has run and made the white bits pink! Any ideas on how I can get the now pink bits back to white. I thought about bleach but that might spoil the red bits. I wondered why it was only �2.99!
