If you particularly want a feather based one rather than a polyester based one, look for duck down or goose down, which are usually much more expensive. We've had both over the years but I find the modern polyester ones much easier to wash, either in the bath and drip drying spread flat over the Hills Hoist, or putting them in a large washing machine.
As Whoever says, scour the charity shops for them. Look out for those made for kiddies beds. Much cheaper to have a couple of those, and there are companies around that will make them up up into a new larger one. New ones are available, but a double bed regular thickness new one is quoted by one US supplier at $4,191.00. Ouch! But they'll last several lifetimes. E.g. One supplier even gives a 20 year guarantee!
