Rose problems
2 Answers
I'm not much of a gardener, but have always looked after the roses, leaving most of the rest to He Who Must Be Obeyed. This year I cut them back quite severely in March, so they are only just starting to bloom. I have five bushes, all HTs, of various ages: Alpine sunset, Dutch Gold, Superstar, Ruby Wedding and a pure white whose name I forget. The white and Alpine sunset are fine; Ruby Wedding is more or less OK, but Dutch Gold and Superstar are looking very poorly and the buds won't open. They had whitefly, but I've got rid of that; no black spot (yet) but badly deformed leaves. Any suggestions, please? I'm wondering whether to uproot the two that are not doing well, but as Superstar was my father's favourite I really want to retain it if possible.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
