I hope someone can help me here - I have a broken letterbox and it's getting really cold. Where can i get a new one without having to replace my (very old but nice) door.?

Most good DIY centres have replacement letter boxes so try one of them. Be sure to measure the existing one so the new one fits, though you may have to enlarge the hole if you can't get an exact match.

You can also get 'draught excluders' for letter boxes that fit on the inside of the door. They are certainly worth fitting too.

no need whatsoever to change the door, many diy places, as said, to buy replacement ones, older type door, older type letter box ? plenty around, but first check the one you have, the ' flip up part ' 2 lugs inside, has one of these broken, or just slipped out ? there is a wire sort spring too, check that also, ( trying to save you money )..
