You can buy humane mouse traps from a hardware store, you bait the trap and a door closes on the mouse, you then release it whereever you like, a long way away! Otherwise it'll probably return, problem is that they breed so fast, you'll need lots of traps and it may take a while to catch the whole family!!.............good luck with it..........welsh
I'm a big animal lover but after years of being humane to mice I now regret to say the only way of dealing with the problem is to put poison down. If they are inside your property you must get rid of them. They are putting your health at risk, stop worrying about their's!!!
i tried humane traps once - they caught the things but then in the morning all i found was pathetic dead mice that looked like they had been clawing at the sides of the trap all night and then died of stress / fright... it didn't seem all that humane after that.
I also tried those devises that make very high pitched noises that are meant to scare off rodents - they seem to get used to it, so i wouldn't recommend them
If you end up using traps, remember to tie them down... I didn't... and caught a mouse, but only by a leg... it scuttled off further under the floor... we could hear it dragging the trap around for a few days before it either died... or chewed its own leg off...
