Just turned the washer on and it not working,it worked fine yesterday!
When i started the washer i could here the water in the drawer as usual but its not spinning or filling up.I turned it off and opened the door and there was just a small amount of water in the drum.I can spin the drum manually so i dont think its stuck. It makes the usual washer noise but sounds to be quieter as if something is stuck (i dont know whether something is stuck but thats what it sounds like.
Any help would be great cos i need to wash and dry my work clothes for monday. Its a washer dryer by the way.
Thanks.

does that also stop it from spinning?
A few years ago I had a washing machine that sounded like it was working but the drum never moved. If this is what yours is doing then you may find that replacing the carbon brushes in the motor will let the drum turn again. They were worn down and not making proper contact, therefore the drum wasn't turning.

If this is the problem with yours you can fix it yourself if you are handy with DIY. It's a bit fiddly but quite possible to do. Failing that, call in a repair man.
My mums was doing exactly the same thing and someone told her to unplug it for 5 minutes and then plug it in again........and they were right ! Don't know how or why but it's fine now so give it a try and fingers crossed for you.
