First I was not sure where to post this question so chose this place.
I have just got an 8 birth family tent, the zip on the door at the front does not run along the bottom of the door,is this normal as my wife is now worried about small animals coming inside the tent, it does have 2 sleeping compartments which are zipped fully round.

If there is nothing to attract them into the tent, like food left lying around, why would they go into an alien environment?
If it really is a problem for her, I suggest you get a couple of metal tent pegs and fix the bottom of the door flap to the ground, although it won't do the tent much good. I presume there is a ground sheet, so you could try using sticky tape to fix them together, but again it will be messy opening up in the morning.
