Scratch on glass

I have unfortunately got a small scratch on the glass top of the TV stand - it's black glass.
Can anyone tell me if there is any way I can "mend" this so to speak.
I have been told that jewellers rouge will help but cannot get hold of any, so is there any alternative.

Forget an alternative. There's nothing really to beat jewellers rouge.
There's lots of it for sale on ebay. Do you or someone you know have an ebay account? If not, you can contact some of the sellers by email or telephone and send them a cheque or postal order. Once the funds are cleared, you'll be sent the stuff.

I have an account with Ebay so will get on to them and look for some. It never occured to me that I would be able to obtain somethat way.

I read somewhere about rubbing with toothpaste .. you could try it !
