I have just bought a dormer bungalow so the bedroom hasn't got one flat wall they are angled and covered with the dreaded woodchip at the moment would it look odd with patterned wallpaper or is it best to paint only a small room. TIA

Zacs is right. I recommend painting in light hues, and painting the ceiling the same colour or as near to the wall colour as possible.
