Net Curtains On Double-Glazed Windows.

I have fitted some net curtains up on a double-glazed bedroom bay window. I purchased three of these expandable bars ( with brackets), so that I could hang the nets without having to damage the windows in anyway. I used this double sided tape to attach the brackets to the window & then clipped the bars onto the brackets. The two side bars, which are obvously smaller, have stayed up really well and have been no problem! But the middle bar, which is obviously much longer, doesn't appear to be able to handle the weight & keeps falling down!!! I was assured in the D.I.Y shop that the tape was really strong & would hold the weight with no problem, but this has proved to be untrue.
Has anybody got any ideas re: anything I can use to stick the brackets to the window?
Many Thanks
Zubar.

Had a similar prob with a 9' bar across a window.Bought some white plastic stick on hooks, removed the sticky backing and stuck the hooksto the plastic fram with superglue, now rest the bar in the cup of the hooks --no probs. . Make sure that the cup of the hook will accommodate the bar..Good luck.
Hi Zubar, I have done the same thing as brenda and have had no problems at all. I have removed the sticky backing on all my hooks and superglued them on. Been there for over 10 years and still going strong.
Try using an adhesive called araldite, you can buy it at B&Q for less than a fiver.I have used it a lot over the years.Amongst other things its brilliant for sticking things onto upvc windows ,doors e.tc. i.e curtain supports, alarm sensors e.t.c. give it 24hrs to cure and I'm sure your curtains will stay put.
tried the superglue thing and didnt stay up longer than a couple of seconds. Think because its plastic on plastic there is little grip. Anyone tried anything else successfully?
