dig a hole, at least 18 inches deep, but deeper if you can. Line it with sand and then a butyl liner, from garden centres etc. Fill it with water and put in a pump and filter. Then you can put in plants and fish. Most garden centres that sell the equipment have staff that can advise you on requirements
