can i claim for this on my buildings insurance

referring to a recent Q of mine (see Movement in Property), do you think i would be able to claim for the structural repairs that will need to be carried out due to the work not being carried out to the proper standard in the first place? we wouldnt have a clue who actually carried out the work, so cannot complain directly.
