Just a tip to stop you slipping on the ice. Put an old pair of woollen socks over your shoes and they will grip much better.

good tip carlton, thanks for that. even my walking boots aren't helping in this ice.
thanks Carlton! hope i remember not to forget to put a pair on when i'm scooting out the door.
My Auntie told me about this last night, she remembers when she was young the old ladies used to do this. I tried it this morning when going out to put food out for the birds and it seemed to work.
Great tip, also use Cat litter as Grit outside your house etc.
I dont recommend the cat litter tip. I did this last year and it turned into horrid grey mush that stuck to the tread of our shoes like glue and was tramped into the house.

Never again!
I think it was only on anglia news but people in a shop that had run out of grit was shredding dishwasher tablets and selling that as it worked like grit.
B00 its better than a having a broken Leg, Ankle etc lol but each to their own i suppose.
