My microwave has just gone kaput. There are so many on the market. I don't really want to spend more than £100 if I can help it. I'm not after links to electrical retails, I just wondered if anyone could recommend a microwave that they have and are happy with, alternatively one that they have that they wouldn't recommend. Thank you.

Same as Fuzzy, bought mine in Asda and going strong after 7 yrs. Mine is a Sharp and cost about £40. Have a look in your nearest Supermarkets as they all stock them.
First you have to decide what sort of microwave you want - a basic one that heats, defrosts and cooks or one that has a grill and can brown food. I think you'd be hard pressed to pay more than £100.

I bought a new one last month from Curry's - Kenwood, reduced by half to only £50. It is 850 watts so I have had to adjust my cooking times from my previous one of 650 w. I'm very pleased with it as I was with my previous Sharp model which I had for just over 20 years.
I always look for one with a stainless steel interior after years of peeling paint.Have a Kenwood .
