A small amount of water has started to seep through the base of a white ceramic vase but there don't appear to be any cracks in it. Is there any kind of sealant which will prevent the leakage before my furniture gets damaged?
Now come on are you telling me that the leaking vase is still on your furniture, knowing it is leaking?, i don't really think you need help with this one
Yes, Eddie's suggestion should work. However if you can't get a paint-brush down the bottom inside, an alternative suggestion would be to mix a 50% solution of PVA glue with water, pour it into the pot, let it soak into the crack, tip out the rest, then let it dry thoroughly in an airing cupboard for a day or so. PVA, once dried, is impervious to water.
